Subject: Forever and Ever
"Forever And Ever" is an English language adaptation of the German song "Fliege mit mir in die Heimat" ("Fly Home With Me") by Franz Winkler, which had been the song of the Luftwaffe during World War II. Malia Rosa wrote the English lyrics, which are unrelated to the German lyrics, in 1948. It was recorded by a number of artists in 1949, but Russ Morgan's version charted highest: https://archive.org/details/78_forever-and-ever_russ-morgan-and-his-orchestra-the-skylarks-franz-winkler-malia-ros_gbia0005520b
Perry Como had a hit with it in 1949 as well: https://archive.org/details/78_forever-and-ever_perry-como-malia-rosa-franz-winkler-mithcell-ayres_gbia0019845a
